CoffeeMore Privacy Policy
The operator of CoffeeMore (the "App"; the operator, the "Operator") handles users' personal information as described below.
1. Information We Collect
The App collects the following information:
- Account information: email address and password. Passwords are stored only in encrypted (hashed) form.
- Profile information: user ID, display name, bio, and other information the user registers voluntarily.
- Posted content: coffee records, photos, ratings, comments, and other content the user posts to the App.
- Images for label scanning: images taken or selected when using the label scanning feature.
- Technical information: technical records such as access logs may be generated in the course of operating the service.
2. Camera and Photo Library Access
The App may request permission to access the camera and photo library in order to take and attach coffee photos and to scan labels. Access occurs only with the user's permission, which can be changed at any time in the device settings.
3. Purposes of Use
Collected information is used for the following purposes:
- To provide the App, authenticate users, and manage accounts;
- To store and display posted content and share it with other users;
- To automatically extract information via the label scanning feature;
- To improve the quality of the App and address defects;
- To respond to inquiries;
- To prevent misuse, including responding to violations of the Terms of Service.
4. Use of External Services (Processors and Data Storage)
- The App's data (account information, posted content, images, etc.) is stored on Supabase, a cloud service. Servers storing the data may be located outside Japan.
- When the label scanning feature is used, the captured or selected image is sent to Anthropic's AI API (Claude) to extract text information. Transmitted images are used only for the extraction process; the user reviews and saves the extracted results.
5. Disclosure to Third Parties
- The Operator does not provide personal information to third parties without the user's consent, except as required by law (and except for the processors described in the preceding section).
- Content posted to the timeline and profile information may be visible to other users as part of the App's functionality.
6. Retention and Deletion
- Collected information is retained for as long as necessary to provide the App.
- When a user deletes their account, their account information and posted content are deleted. Complete removal from backups and similar systems may take some time.

7. Security Measures
The Operator takes reasonable security measures to prevent unauthorized access to, loss of, or leakage of personal information, including encrypted communication (TLS) and database access controls.
8. Your Rights
Users may request disclosure, correction, suspension of use, or deletion of their personal information. Please contact us at the address below.
9. Use by Minors
Minor users should use the App with the consent of a parent or guardian.
10. Changes to This Policy
The Operator may revise this Policy as necessary. The revised Policy takes effect when posted on this page. In the case of material changes, notice will be provided by appropriate means, such as a notice within the App.
